Pakstoor sets a small number of cookies, all strictly necessary for the service to work. We do not set third-party advertising cookies, and we do not share cookie data with advertisers.

Article 01 What we set

Cookies we set

Each one has a job; none of them are advertising.

pks_sid

Session cookie. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Lets you stay signed in across pages. Expires after 30 days or when you log out.

pks_lang

Language preference (en or af). Stored in localStorage rather than as an HTTP cookie. No server-side use.

pks_user

Thin cached user profile (name, email, initial) stored in localStorage. Used for fast UI hydration. Cleared on logout.

pks_favorites · pks_qa_* · pks_message_store

localStorage caches mirroring server-side data. Safe to clear; the server is the source of truth.

Managing cookies

You stay in control of every cookie we set.

You can clear all Pakstoor cookies and localStorage from your browser's settings at any time. Signing out through the profile menu clears the session cookie and wipes local caches; the next sign-in sets them fresh.
